Silicone Elastic Tape and Silicone Coating

Silicone elastic tape and clear silicone tape are used in textiles, hosiery, footwear and underwear because they are comfortable and durable.

Silicone is a type of synthetic rubber. It withstands temperatures from -60 °C to +180 °C without damage and, according to research, can tolerate up to 400 °C for short periods. It resists creasing, is environmentally friendly and recyclable. Rain and surface water do not affect it, and it resists UV radiation and atmospheric gases. Being 100% recyclable, it benefits both the economy and the environment. We manufacture inner and outer elastics for a wide range of products.

Silicone is inert, meaning it is chemically inactive and has no negative effect on health, which is why it is also widely used in the medical sector. Unlike other elastics, it does not leave marks or redness on the skin, so it is a safe choice for underwear.

Silicone Coating

Coating (lamination) improves the quality and strength of a product through processes such as coating and bonding. At Biass Aksesuar, we use this process to get the most out of silicone's advantages.

Silicone coating is valued for being light, thin, soft, transparent, invisible from the outside and, above all, anti-slip. There are three types: lace silicone coating, strip silicone coating and corset silicone coating.

Lace Silicone Coating

Invisible and anti-slip, it is a favourite material for no-show socks and hold-up stockings, keeping them firmly in place.

Strip Silicone Coating

Widely used in no-show socks, corsetry, trousers, shorts, leggings, lace and cycling wear for its grip and comfort. It is also applied in 3 mm or 5 mm lines on the inside of bras so they stay in place while you move.

Corset Silicone Coating

Preferred in corsets because it is anti-slip and skin-friendly, making corsets more comfortable and secure.

Clear Elastic Tape

Clear elastic tape is popular in the textile industry because it is flexible, harmless to health, non-toxic and environmentally friendly. It is used in the shoulder seams of jersey and knitwear and in home textiles such as fitted sheets. We produce clear elastic tape from 2 mm width and in thicknesses of 0.08–0.50 mm. Brand names can be printed on the tape.

Anti-Slip Silicone Tape

Anti-slip silicone tape is typically used as a waistband-style strip in underwear, tracksuits and trousers. It also adds grip to football and cycling jerseys, so athletes can focus on their sport instead of adjusting their kit. See our silicone coating range.

No-Show Sock Elastic
